Material: Aluminium Tooling Plate "SALPLAN 5000"
"SALPLAN 5000" plates are cast aluminum plates based on the alloy AlMg4.5Mn (3.3547).
After the casting process, the plates undergo a special heat treatment and are then face-milled on 2 sides and provided with a 2-sided protection coating.
Unlike rolled plates, these cast plates have great advantages:
- excellent machinability and therefore great cost advantage
- low-tension and therefore great dimensional stability
- homogeneous in structure
- can be easily polished
- can be anodized well
Mechanical properties:
- tensile strength: 240-290 N/mm2
- 0,2% yield strength: 130-150 N/mm2
- Elongation in % A5: 6-10
- brinell hardness: 70-75
Tolerances on the thickness:
- +/- 0,1 mm
Flatness tolerances:
- thickness: 5 to 15 mm: 0.35 mm/m
- 15,88 to 100 mm: 0,15 mm/m
